Waste collection is a highly visible municipal service that involves large expenditures and difficult operational problems. In addition, it is expensive to operate in terms of investment costs (i.e. vehicles fleet), operational costs (i.e. fuel and maintenances) so that generating small improvements in this area can lead to huge savings in municipal expenditures. Among the issues raised in the process of decisions making by managers and associated policy makers, one can point to determining the optimal weekly policies of waste collection. In this paper, the periodic capacitated arc routing problem (PCARP)in mobile disposal sites is described and the authors seek to determine the optimal routes of required edges (streets or alleys) per week, number and location of mobile disposal sites, and the number of required vehicles. We present two simulated annealing algorithms, which are different in cooling schedule and number of iterations of each temperature. To evaluate the performance of these algorithms on small-sized problems, the solver “CPLEX"in application “GAMS” is used. The experimental results show that the presented algorithms have appropriate performance and a reasonable time range.

Timetabling is one of the most difficult issues in the world; this is a combinatory optimization issue and it has been proven that it is a NP-Hard issue.University Courses Timetabling is very important especially for the exams and courses. The manual solving of the Timetabling needs a broad domain of sources and time to create an applicable schedule with minimum interference in the curriculum and Professor's program is not easy. Different mathematical models and algorithms have been presented for this issue but each strategy considers different limitations according to its environment and factors. Timetabling is different for different university courses Timetabling. In this study a new multi objective mathematical model with new objective functions and new constrains has been presented for university courses timetabling. The present study tries to consider most restrictions for a training center. Finally the validity of the proposed model has been surveyed by a small numerical example and its solving by LINGO11 software shows that this model can satisfy all goals and limitations.

Efficient use of limited resources is among the objectives of efficient management and employing modern techniques of management is very effective in this field. Communications management is quite important in project-oriented organizations. PMBOK guideline is a good guideline to create efficient and effective communication. In this paper the application of communication management field of PMBOK guideline has been presented in projects processes of a project-oriented organization for effective communications management. To better understand the concepts, processes associated with projects in Lorestan province Gas Company have been employed as a project organization. The methodology includes three steps of data collection through interviews with relevant personnel, identification of processes and processes analysis based on Communications Management field of PMBOK guideline. Additional and unnecessary information turnover in the processes has been identified and removed. The results showed that creating correct communication in an organization will eliminate many of the existing delays in the processes. Also the results showed that communications management improvement leads to the improvement in all knowledge fields of PMBOK guideline in an organization, resultinginreducedtime andcost, efficient use oflimited resourcesand increased efficiencyand viabilityofthe organization.

Project management approach is one of the crucial aspects of enhancing the operational efficiency of project-based organizations that makes optimum resources use possible. Risks management significantly affects operational effectiveness and performance efficiency in competitive organizations. These calls for a new management approach, such as the PMBOK project management standard that helps risks identification and methods of mitigating their adverse consequences. The aim is to focus on analysis of project-related processes in organizations using the PMBOK guideline risk management concept. The study is undertaken in the project-oriented Lorestan National Gas Company in Iran. The methodology involved using primary data using interviews of relevant stakeholders on project-management processes involving three major stages of data collection, process identification and process analysis based on the PMBOK. Results show the importance of risk management analysis in identifying major risk-generation areas required to take appropriate measures in averting or overcoming unexpected operational and performance challenges that affect organizational survival. Results further show the effectiveness of the proposed method in achieving a more effective project control system that makes it possible for on-time project scheduling, enhanced performance effectiveness, economic justification and organizational survival.
