Enhancing the process capability is a must in quality improvement of process manufacturing in the industry. Usually, Statistical Process Control (SPC) is applied in measure the activity of quality improvement. In this case, the statistical process control used to measure the process capability of molding machine regarding of force result of inner contact rubber button in plastic industry. The forces of inner contact rubber button which produce by molding machine already become the critical point as a judgment of malfunctions or not. Meanwhile, the forces problem still found in molding machine that affected to the inner contact rubber button as defect product. Furthermore, as shown of SPC, the process capability of molding machine was 0.63. This mean the process capability is still need the improvement. As the result of quality improvement was made by applied of Poka-Yoke, the process capability of molding machine was improved to 1.65.

As one manufacturing industry which has engaged in the textile industry and produced zippers, the painting process at zipped production has a number of problems, as on zipper sticks to each other, uneven paint, etc. In this discussion, the improvements that will be made are related to the painting process. Quality Control Circle (QCC) method is applied to reflect the support of the continuous improvement program in the company. The painting process is the finishing process of a zipper that serves as a coating to be resistant to corrosion and enhance the zipper appearance. The results of the study, it is found the main problem in the zipper painting process, which are Abbeku or sticking. This is due to the factors, such as machinery, methods, and materials. Of the three factors, there is one of the biggest problem factors, namely the position of non-standard spray gun. The focus of the improvement that will be made is the modification of the spraygun holder so that the fix position does not change. The results after an improvement in the modification of the spray gun holder are Abbeku (sticking) loss on the painting production which is originally 23 lots. As a conclusion, it eliminates the biggest loss factor in the painting process, replaced the position of the spraygun that is not fixed.

The profit margins decrease up to 30%; the bottles are as the main cause of 10%. This study focuses on bottle analysis and aims to get the optimal weight of the Milkuat LAB 70 ml bottle by not forgetting about some standard parameters that cannot be changed. This experiment uses the Taguchi method, which includes knowing the factor level settings, optimal settings, optimal bottle weight, optimal bottle strength, getting QLF (Quality Loss Function), results from transportation test, and reject ratio in the production line. And some additional methods such as transportation tests have also carried out in this study. The results of this study are that the influential level factor settings are S2 and S4, for setting the optimal level is S2 (A3) is 1.25 mm and bottle S4 (B3) is 0.95 mm, the optimal bottle weight is 7.00 gr from before 7.80 gr, with current bottle strength 19.64 Kg with the previous weight is 19.80 Kg, the value of QLF (Quality Loss Function) is IDR. 7,000, - from before is IDR. 7,815, - deviation of IDR. 16.02, - and efficient per Day IDR. 28,836,000, - with output 1,800,000 bottles per day and the results of transportation tests remain on 22 cartons stack; the reject decline production ratio is not too much different for 1 hour production, 1 production shift and up to 1-3 months of production using a bottle of 7.00 gr with the conclusion of the statistics that is "Not Significant Difference from 7.80 gr" that means that the results are good in productivity and cost efficiency.

Genset or generator set is one of the sources of electricity used in oil palm plantations; genset are placed in a special building that is a Genset’s house. Some of the problems encountered in the Genset’s house are oil spills, fuel oil spills, and dirty floors; scattered items in Genset’s house, packaging of hazardous and untreated substances, no safety sign board, and no work instruction. The study has conducted in an oil palm plantation company located in Central Kalimantan Province. The used method in this study is 5S (Seiri, Seiso, Seiton, Sheiketsu, and Shitsuke) by observing, interviewing, and literature review related to the discussed aspects. The results of the study show that the implementation of 5S makes the Genset’s house cleaner, the more orderly place of the goods, the no oil spill, the wider genset room, and the fundamental advantage is to reduce the environmental pollution due to the hazardous and toxic substances. So that the applied 5S principle to other parts of the company has proved to be effective in the maintenance of Genset’s houses and has reduced the possibility of fires and accidents.
