Maintenance costs are one of the major costs in plants and companies. The observation in many cases illustrates the lack of plans or mistakes in maintenance activities that incurred great costs. In this study, the number of equipment failures have been determined. Then the failure rate and reliability of each equipment are calculated. The third step calculates total system reliability so the initial plan is presented. After that, by using the obtained information, the sustainability aspects of the program will generate and the maintenance costs and sustainability functions will assess. At the end, this multi-objective optimization problem is solved by MOPSO algorithm and the results are compared with a simulation method. As a result, with this reliability centered maintenance program, the reliability of each equipment, as well as the whole system are improved; economic aspect of sustainability and customer satisfaction are increased; environmental pollutions and maintenance costs are decreased by offering more reliability based program; a scheduling plan for each maintenance procedures is provided and also more stable internet connection is established by reducing the system failures.

For planning process, this study examined the econometric model of domestic air travel in Nigeria vis-à-vis some selected economic variables. Furthermore, quantitative (inferential) statistics has used which relies on data obtained from relevant government institutions in Nigeria. Also the model was estimated using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression. From the estimate; the predictor variables constant revealed that Domestic Passenger demand is a negative value which signifies that the predictors (economic variables) cannot give true estimate of the domestic airline forecast regardless of the positive regression coefficient for the predictors. On the other side, Domestic Passenger demand positively contributes to economic indicators. When validating the model estimate, test of significance revealed that there is no statistically significant relationship between the variables. Based on the insignificance, the model estimate cannot give a good forecast. Test for multicollinearity revealed that the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.805 which is greater than 0.8. This signifies that there is a problem of multicollinearity. Based on this problem, the model estimate cannot give a good forecast. Goodness of fit test revealed that 80.5% of the dependent variable (Domestic Passenger demand) can be explained by the independent variables. The regression value signifies that the model can give a true forecast. Finally, based on the issues of validation, it is therefore concluded that the model cannot give a true forecast, hence economic indicators contributes little or no to air transport demand but rather air transport demand contributes significantly to economic indicators.

In this paper, an interactive approach for solving multi- objective nonlinear programming (MONLP) problem is introduced. This approach is combined with the Reference Direction (RD) introduced by Narula et al. (1993) and the Attainable Reference Point (ARP) method introduced by Wang et al. (2001). In the interactive approach, we still starting with a weak efficient solution as the first step and use the corresponding objective values to improve the weighting coefficients of the augmented Lexicographic Weighted Tchebycheff problem and hence modify the reference point in the case of an unsatisfactory solution for the decision maker (DM) he (she) wishes. Cooperative continuous static game is introduced as an application and its solution is obtained under the proposed interactive approach. Finally, a numerical example is given to the utility of our proposed method.

Due to the importance of the health field, the problem of determining the shift scheduling of care providers has been addressed in many studies, and various methods have been proposed to solve it. Considering different skills and contracts for care providers is one of the essential issues in this field. Given the uncertainty in patients' demands, it is a crucial issue as to how to assign care providers to different shifts. One area facing this uncertainty is the provision of services to cancer patients. This study develops a stochastic programming model to account for patient demand uncertainty by considering different skills and contracts for care providers. In the first step, care providers are assigned to work shifts, then, in the second step, the required overtime hours are determined. The sample average approximation method is presented to determine an optimal schedule by minimizing care providers' regular and overtime costs with different contracts and skills. Then, the appropriate sample size is 100, determined based on the Monte Carlo and Latin Hypercube methods. In the following, the lower and upper bounds of the optimal solution are calculated. As the numerical results of the study show, the convergence of the lower and upper bounds of the optimal solution is obtained from the Latin Hypercube method. The best solution is equal to 189247.3 dollars and is achieved with a difference of 0.143% between the upper bound and lower bounds of the optimal solution. The Monte Carlo simulation method is used to validate the care provider program in the next stage. As shown, in the worst case, the value of the objective function is equal to 197480 dollars.

In this paper, while taking into account the cooperative relationships between units, the problem of revenue allocation is considered as a coalitional game. In order for the allocation to be equitable, by relying on the concept of DEA efficiency, a new characteristic function is presented, and then using the concept of the Shapley value, which is a well-recognized concept in coalitional game theory, a unique solution is obtained for the revenue allocation problem. And finally, to evaluate the equitability of the performed revenue allocation, the Gini coefficient is utilized. A comparison of the Gini coefficient obtained for our method with those of some existing methods showed that our method is more equitable than the previous ones. This demonstrates how impactful the wise and accurate selection of the characteristic function is in the equitability of the results.

Linear Assignment (LAM) is one of the Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods that uses integer programming models in the solution process. In this method, only the final priority of the alternatives is determined and the distance between the alternatives is not clear. The purpose of this paper is to modify this method so that instead of the final priority of the alternatives, the final weight of the alternatives is presented. This is done using a linear programming model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In this paper, we propose a hybrid MADM-DEA method called Linear Assignment Voting (VLAM). The new method is explained with a numerical example. The method will then be implemented on a problem in the real world to demonstrate the application of the method. In this case study, VLAM demonstrates the prioritization of models proposed by experts for the purchase of excavators in a road construction company. Also, based on the results of this method, the weight of the first, second and third priorities are 0.39, 0.35 and 0.26, respectively. These results increase the decision maker's power in making the final decision and choice.

One of the main problems in production process of composite curly sheet process is long time duration of impregnability of needle mat to resin operation and high costs of this operation. Increased time of impregnability operation in production process caused the occurrence of ravine and consequently the output amount of production line is dramatically reduced. Removing ravine or reducing its time, has direct effect on production increase therefore the cost price of final product will decrease too. In this article first by using design of experiment technique, the effective factors on reducing operation time in production process are identified, in next stage, appropriate functions for variables of time respond and direct cost of impregnability operation was processed as separated on each agent level. Then, using multiple objective design making techniques, optimum levels of each factor for each formed model was determined and finally, the best achieved answer from processed models is chosen as optimum final answer. Model sensitiveness toward changes in importance degree of each of the aims is also analyzed and studied in comparison with each other.

An Improved Genetic Algorithm (I-GA) for solving multi-objective Fuzzy Multi–Index Multi-objective Transportation Problem (FM-MOTP) is presented. Firstly, we introduce a new structure for the individual to be able to represent all possible feasible solutions. In addition, in order to keep the feasibility of the chromosome, a criterion of the feasibility was designed. Based on this criterion, the crossover and mutation were modified and implemented to generate feasible chromosomes. Secondly, an external archive of Pareto optimal solutions is used, which best conform a Pareto front. For avoiding an overwhelming number of solutions, the algorithm has a finite-sized archive of non-dominated solutions, which is updated iteratively at the presence of new solutions. Finally, the computational studies using two numerical problems, taken from the literature, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm to solve FM-MOTP Problem under fuzziness.

Due to the increased attention to training and improving the training level, its evaluation requires special procedures. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to evaluate the performance of training courses using different evaluation and rating techniques. In order to identify the criteria affecting the assessment, the Delphi hourly method is used. To determine the severity of impact and the importance of model elements, the revised method proposed by Dalalah et al was used in FDEMATEL. Using the FVIKOR technique, the in-service training courses held in Mazandaran and Golestan Regional Electricity Company were prioritized. The findings of this study indicate the high importance of universality of training materials compared to other model criteria. They also suggest that setting a short-term in-service training course yields the best training performance.

In this study, we consider stochastic resource possibilities and propose a new chance constraint, piecewise-linear and mixed integer programming model. Model is tested and verified with known project instances. One of the main strengths of the proposed model is it can be used to construct baseline schedules with a predetermined confidence interval. This gives scheduler an opportunity to construct proactive actions in order to minimize disruptions.

This study aims to verify the main factors influencing turnover intention in the Iran hospitality industry. The objective of this study is to construct a fuzzy AHP and fuzzy TOPSIS model to evaluate the dimensions of the hotel employee turnover intention model. The performance evaluation for employee turnover intention includes work itself, supervision, coworkers relationship, salary and benefit, career opportunities, job stress, perceived risk, and job insecurity. These dimensions generate a final evaluation for ranking priority among the employee turnover intention of the proposed model. The importance of dimensions is evaluated by 20 experts, and decision-making is processed through the fuzzy concept and fuzzy environment. From the critical fuzzy AHP and fuzzy TOPSIS analysis results, the study shows that the most important dimensions of employee turnover intention in the hotel industry model are salary and benefits. Moreover, the results indicate that the least important dimensions are the Co-workers Relationship, Supervision, and Career Opportunities. The second group dimensions that impact employee turnover in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic are work itself, job stress perceived risk, and job insecurity. In addition, this study’s results show that three-star hotels have the highest value of turnover intention; the second is the Four and Five-star hotels, and the third is the below three-star hotels. The results of the study will help businesses in the field of hospitality have a more comprehensive view of human resource management activities. Especially, this study provides implications for hotel managers in understanding employee behavior and their turnover intention during the context of the COVID-19 epidemic based on the eight proposed dimensions.

Sustainable production is using non-polluting processes and systems by considering energy conservation and natural resources, which is sustainable in terms of economic, safety and health for employees, society and consumers. In general sustainable production refers to valuable social production for all working people. There are different perspectives on sustainable production indicators. However, some recent researches offered indicators for measuring sustainable production. Increasing the number of indicators causes managers’ confusion in using them. This paper offers a fuzzy inference system for indicators ranking in organizations. In this study, general prioritizations regardless of the type of manufacturing industry were considered and effort was focused on showing the relative degree of indicators for managers. So that it offers good understanding about importance of each indicator with regard to others for assessmenting the past, present and future of organizations. The results of the present study shows that beside economy, specialists have great attention on the environmental issues which is important and necessary for manufacturing in protecting natural resources and environments.

In this paper, dynamic programming for sequencing weighted jobs on a single machine to minimizing total tardiness is focused, to significance of fuzzy numbers field, and importance of that for decision makers who are facing on uncertain data, combination of dynamic programming and fuzzy numbers is applied. A random scheduling problem with fuzzy processing times is given and solved. In addition, algorithm consuming time during solving same category problem and different sizes are analyzed that for large problem CPU time usage is extremely unaffordable. Therefore demonstration of near-exact heuristic method such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) appears. In this paper sufficient discussion around solving this kind of problems and their algorithms analysis and a combination between Dynamic Programming (DP) and genetic algorithm as a newly born method is proposed that stand on DP performance and genetic algorithm search power, and finally comparison on the recent developed method has been held. Then this method can deal with real-world problem easily. Thus, decision makers actually can use this modification of dynamic programming for coping with un-crisp problem.

Using disparity index, the input and output of data envelopment analysis is considered according to similarity in one category and, units with the efficiency one can be ranked with this method. The new approach of this research is the evaluation of this model in uncertainty conditions and in fuzzy state. In fuzzy conditions, a new model can be provided and used when there are no definitive data and the application of this model can get closer to the actual situation. In this study, to prove the adequacy of the model, the numerical example is assessed and the results of the proposed model is compared with the results of the fuzzy BCC model; the obtained results are indicative of the superiority of the proposed model.

The aim of this paper is to implement the quality tools for reducing food waste in Woldia University (WU) canteen (Ethiopia). Universities are one of the main sources of food waste among food catering industries. In WU canteen, it is observed that most of the generated food wastes are goes to landfill. This has a direct impact on the environment. This paper proposes a methodology to tackle this problem. First, food items which contribute by 80% of food waste in the university are identified with the help of Pareto chart. Then the cause and effect diagram is used to identify the main causes or reason for these food items to be wasted. Finally, Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is implemented for reducing food waste through customer satisfaction. This reduces significant portion of food waste as the food waste in the canteen is directly related to customer satisfaction.

It is also interesting as a research problem, in part due to its difficulty, because the result of a sports match is dependent on many factors, such as the morale of a team (or a player), skills, current score, etc. So even for sports experts, it is very hard to predict the exact results of sports matches. This research discusses using a machine learning approach, Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), to predict the outcomes of one week, specifically applied to the Iran Pro League (IPL) 2013-2014 football matches. The data obtained from the past matches in the seven last leagues are used to make better predictions for the future matches. Results showed that neural networks have a remarkable ability to predict the results of football match results.

Life Cycle Costing (LCC) is a methodology used first time by the Department of Defense of United State, it’s an economic calculation of all costs propagated during the life span of any technical system. For Renewable Energy (RE) systems, LCC is a good methodology, which shows the cost-effectiveness of using RE as an alternative source compared to conventional power generations. A LCC model was introduced for Wind generation system. Data collection was done through four different cost data sources. The results shows that the capital investment cost is $1.968/W. For a 20 years PV project life-time, the operation and maintenance cost forms 19% of the total LCC of the system.
