In recent years, the expansion of social responsibility concept, increased environmental considerations, economic incentives and governmental pressure on manufacturers for waste management have caused organizations to focus attention on the development of closed-loop supply chains (CLSC) and reverse logistics (RL) processes. The adoption of these approaches, will enable organizations to simultaneously meet economic, social and environmental goals and consider the manufacturing cycle from supply and production to reuse of products. Hence, this study deals with an optimization model within the framework of a multi-echelon, multi-product and multi-period CLSC with hybrid facilities where cross-docking strategy and vehicle routing with soft time windows have been included in the model. In the problem defined as a MILP model, decisions are made simultaneously at three levels of strategic, tactical and operational. Furthermore, to tackle the NP-hard problem and achieve near-to-optimal results in reasonable time, two meta-heuristic algorithms, NRGA and MOPSO are developed and the algorithms’ parameters are tuned using the Taguchi method. Finally, the computational results are examined by the performance measures and statistical analysis and the sensitivity analysis is performed regarding the impacts of demand and rate of returned product on the objective functions’ values.

The increasing use of electronic goods worldwide has led to a significant increase in the amount of waste generated from their consumption, resulting in a major environmental concern. In response, this study aims to provide a systemic framework for reducing electronic waste by considering the benefits of a closed-loop sustainable supply chain. To achieve this goal, a systematic literature review was conducted to identify influential factors related to the green supply chain. Based on the identified factors in this section regarding electronic waste, a systematic framework was devised for the technology park companies' chain in Yazd. Accordingly, utilizing fuzzy cognitive mapping technique based on the current state, a systemic structure was formed. The statistical population of this study consisted of industry experts in e-waste in Iran. The initial criterion for identifying these individuals was having at least one international research publication or a minimum of 10 years of work experience in this field. These individuals were selected using the snowball sampling method. After completing the snowball sampling process, 72 experts were selected. Based on this framework, forward and backward scenarios were created to offer practical solutions for addressing the problem of electronic waste in Iran. The results of this study suggest that instead of discarding a significant portion of electronic waste, efforts should be focused on cost reduction through better recycling processes. By implementing a closed-loop sustainable supply chain, businesses can recover valuable resources from electronic waste, reduce their carbon footprint, and ultimately contribute to creating a more sustainable future.

Supply chain network design and resilient supplier selection play an important role in supply chain risk management to deal with various operational and disruption risks. In this paper, we develop a robust mathematical bi-objective, multi product model to consider resilient supplier and uncertainty in supply chain network design across multi period and multi products simultaneously, and this study offer optimal solutions for resilient supplier selection and order allocation. First we show a mixed-integer linear programming model with two objective functions, The first objective function maximizes the total profit, while the second maximizes the total supplier resilience score, where Fuzzy SECA have been used to obtain the five resiliency criteria weights and obtain the resilience scores for the objective function. we can rank the resilient suppliers using the fuzzy SECA method . we proposed an approach for coordination between production planning, supplier selection, and order allocation. The ε-constraint method was used to obtain optimum amounts of decision variables to maximize the profit for a real case study. Finally, a Pareto solution analysis has been done for the tradeoff between robustness and resilience.the results show that how uncertainty parameters in the supply chain can affect the objective function. furthermore, this paper finds show that with supplier resilience score 4000, the first objective function of model present highest value, therefore in this point we can have resilient supplier with maximum profitability.

Supply chain management constitutes a strategic discipline involving the meticulous coordination of planning, execution, and efficient control in directing the flow of raw materials, works-in-progress, finished goods, and pertinent information from origin to consumption. This intricately woven process profoundly influences all dimensions of industries and enterprises; therefore, a meticulous understanding of its opportunities and threats holds paramount significance in the landscape of industry and commerce. So, evaluating industries' resilience to existing risks is pivotal, underscoring the importance of managing supply chain risks. The global landscape has witnessed profound late-century breakthroughs, leading to the heightened complexity of supply chains. This complexity exposes supply chains to various risks, requiring managers to navigate environmental uncertainties arising from sudden shifts in demand, supply, and production processes within fiercely competitive environments. Consequently, risk management has emerged as a critical facet of effective supply chain management. This study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) and Amos software for analysis, utilizing random sampling based on Morgan's table to collect 385 observations from managers of manufacturing joint-stock companies, ranging from production workshop supervisors to higher positions, through a questionnaire. Findings indicate that preventive risk mitigation can trigger supply and manufacturing risks, subsequently leading to delivery risks, indicating a cascade effect of supply-side risks on downstream supply chains. Consequently, focusing on reducing supply risks can be advantageous in mitigating production and delivery risks. Furthermore, economic uncertainty, with coefficients of 1.1, 2.8, and 1.95, significantly influences supply, production, and delivery risks within the supply chain, resulting in reduced profitability and economic stability. Policymakers are urged to take action to minimize market uncertainties. Additionally, since competitive intensity exhibits a negative correlation with supply chain risks, measures should be taken to intensify industry competition by enforcing anti-monopoly legislation.

Supply chain risk management involves identifying, ranking, and adopting appropriate strategies to control and deal with risks that could disrupt chain performance. These risks can be caused by different issues and descriptions and surveys about these risks are associated with uncertainty, ambiguity, qualitativeness and incomplete and sometimes contradictory information. Therefore, their ranking needs the techniques that can model the mentioned issues. neutrosophic logic makes it possible to model propositions with uncertainty, incomplete information, ambiguity, qualitativeness, and even inconsistency. Accordingly, the approach of the present study is to use a combined method of neutrosophic hierarchical analysis and TOPSIS for ranking the risk. Core of this paper is proposed a hybrid decision making method for identification and ranking of supply chain management by a Neutrosophic analytical hierarchy process and TOPSIS approach. The case study is Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan and three criteria including resilience, agility and robustness are considered as major strategies to deal with risk and seventeen risk-related issues are ranked as options. The results show that government constraints, economic and environmental risks, inventory shortages, technology risk, forecast risk and financial (cash) problems are the most important risks threatening the supply chain. Therefore, we believe that the proposed framework provides managers with valuable knowledge for decision making.

Review of previous research shows that a systematic and comprehensive approach to the factors and dimensions of Supply Chain Resilience (SCR) has received less attention in this field. Therefore, the aim of this study is to design a model of factors influencing SCR. This research is considered applied and development-oriented in terms of its objective and was conducted in the tile and ceramic industry in Yazd province. In doing so, the study primarily investigated publications indexed on scientific databases, extracting the factors affecting SCR through a systematic approach and the meta-synthesis method. Following that, a model was constructed that consisted of 33 factors falling under five dimensions: 1) production and distribution management, 2) communication and participative management, 3) financial and information management, 4) human resources management, and 5) risk and crisis management. The findings revealed that such factors as “having a strong relationship with suppliers”, “using lean production and eliminating wastes”, “technological flexibility in production”, “implementing integrated Information Technology (IT) infrastructures in the SC”, and “safety stock of materials” were the most important factors affecting resilience in the SC. Generally speaking, what distinguish this study from the others in this field are the new and scientific framework of factors that it proposes through a systematic approach and the identification of the most important factors, which could serve as a guideline to senior managers and decision-makers.

This paper deals with the modeling of the Food Bank (FB) network in the conditions of uncertainty in the demand of charities and the capacity of donating food. The importance of creating a FB network, along with providing quality food, led to consider the two objective functions of minimizing the costs of the total FB network and maximizing the minimum freshness of the food basket. The simultaneous optimization of the above two objective functions is aimed at making correct routing-inventory and allocation decisions. In this paper, food items in food baskets with high shelf-life and low shelf-life are considered. The results of solving the sample problems by combining the operators of two Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA) showed that with the increase in the freshness of the food baskets, the costs of the FB network have increased. Also, the sensitivity analysis showed that the increase in uncertainty in the network leads to an increase in the cost of FB network and a decrease in the freshness of the food basket. The comparison of the results between the algorithms also showed that the efficiency of HGSSA is much higher than GA and SSA and the problem solving time by these methods is extremely lower. The use of HGSSA has increased the rate of achieving effective solutions by 14.06%.

Today, logistics costs often make up a major part of large organizations’ expenses. These costs can be reduced with optimal design and its implementation in the supply chain. As a result, in present study, a two-objective mathematical location-routing model is presented, where an objective is to minimize the costs and the next is to maximize the reliability in order to deliver the goods timely to customer according to the probable time and time window. The proposed problem has two levels of distribution. The first level, which is called transportation level, points to the distribution of products from a factory to an open distribution center, and the latter is known as routing level, which is related to a part of the problem in which we deliver products from the warehouse to customers. The proposed mathematical model is solved by Epsilon-constraint and NSGA-II approaches in small and medium, and large scales problem, respectively. The present study has provided the following contributions: concurrent locating and routing in the supply chain in accordance with the customer’s time window, probable travel time in the supply chain and customer’s reliability in the supply chain. The assessment metric results indicate the proper performance of our proposed model.

The natural disasters of the last few decades clearly reveal that natural disasters impose high financial and human costs on governments and communities. Concerns in this regard are growing day by day. Making the right decisions and taking appropriate and timely measures in each phase of the crisis management cycle will reduce potential damage at the time of the disaster and reduce the vulnerability of society. Therefore, in this research, a mathematical model of crisis logistics planning considering the problem of primary and secondary crisis in disaster relief is introduced, which is the innovation of this research. In the primary crisis, the goal is to provide services and relief goods to crisis areas, and in the second stage, the secondary crisis that occurs after the primary crisis seeks to provide relief to crisis centers and transfer the injured to relief centers. Therefore, this research proposes a mathematical fuzzy ideal programming model in two primary and secondary crises. In the primary crisis, the goal is to provide services and relief goods to crisis-stricken areas. The secondary crisis, which occurs after the primary crisis, aims to support crisis-stricken centers and move injured people to relief bases in the second step. According to the proposed model, Bertsimas-Sim’s fuzzy programming that formulation proposed by Bertsimas and Sim [1] and robust approach we initially used. The Epsilon constraint method was used to solve the low-dimensional model. Multi-objective meta-heuristic algorithms have been designed to handle the computational complexity of large-scale real-time problems. Multiple comparisons and analyses have been proposed to assess the performance of the model and problem-solving capabilities. The results indicate that the proposed approach can be applied and implemented to develop a real-world humanitarian logistics network.

Today, one of the topics in supply chain management is "multiple sales channels" and "pricing". In this research, a food producer (west Sahar Dasht Company) has been selected, and several retailers and wholesalers have been considered as the company's customers. This research dynamically solves the model through the game theory method. To obtain the equilibrium point and Stockelberg, the lower level optimal values (retailers and suppliers) are calculated based on the higher-level values (manufacturer), which turns the multi-level model into a single-level model to calculate the higher level optimal values. By presenting a case study and analyzing the sensitivity of the parameters, it was shown that some changes in the parameters have a significant effect on the problem variables, and its equilibrium model is better. Because game theory is proposed to solve problems on a small scale, and because the present problem is so complex, genetic algorithm meta-heuristic and particle aggregation optimization have been used to solve medium and large problems. To validate their results, they are compared with the results obtained from the mathematical model. Finally, comparing the performance of the two meta-heuristic algorithms through statistical analysis has shown that the particle aggregation optimization algorithm performs better than the genetic algorithm.

This paper examines the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Food Supply Chain (FSC) and identifies the strengths and weaknesses of this system. Since this paper is a review study, the papers published from 2014 to June 2021 have been studied and 93 articles related to the field of IoT applications in the FSC have been reviewed. By reviewing the literature, six basic applications obtained for this type of network include transportation procurement, food production, resource/waste management, food safety improvement, food quality maintenance, and FSC transparency. Clustering is used to achieve these. Cluster analysis suggests that researchers should pay more attention to IoT applications for product quality and transparency throughout the supply chain, and consider IT-based systems seamlessly at each level of the supply chain.

One of the stages of crisis management is planning and initial preparation to deal with the crisis. During natural disasters, one of the main activities is the logistics of relief groups and the activities of relief teams to save the lives of the victims of the accident. A review of past events shows that the chances of rescuing the injured decrease and that a quick and correct decision is important in this situation. This paper presents a two-phase hybrid approach to decision-making and prioritization of affected regions to send relief teams. In this approach, multi-criteria decision-making methods in two phases are used to consider different indicators in achieving the optimal solution. In the first phase, with the help of the primary decision matrix, the AHP, TOPSIS and AHP-TOPSIS methods are used. And in the second phase, according to the results obtained from the first phase, the secondary decision matrix is created. With the CoCoSo method's help, one of the newest methods in this field, areas are prioritized for relief. In order to implement the proposed approach, the city of Amol has been studied.

Today, most supply chains are moving towards green business with a greater focus on environmental protection as a competitive advantage. Among them, the design of a three-stage green supply chain with optimal allocation, a multiple supply chain that includes supplier (first stage), manufacturer (second stage) and distributor (third stage), based on maximum efficiency and considering the internal processes and products between these three levels, can be of special importance; because, it will increase the economic and environmental performance of the supply chain. One of the methods used to evaluate efficiency in Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Therefore, performance evaluation is vital for companies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain. In this study, using the three-stage approach of DEA, the data collected in 2020 from 9 Selected home appliance companies have been analyzed. The results show that company 1 has the best efficiency and the greenest supply chain and company 7 has the worst value of efficiency, which makes it necessary to pay more attention to low performance companies. In order to show the capability of the proposed model, the developed model was compared with its equivalent base model, and companies 1 and 2 were identified as inefficient in the proposed model, but identified as efficient in the base model. Given that the efficiency score in the proposed model is always lower than the base model, so the accuracy of the developed model can be concluded.

The objective of this study is to model a dynamic redesigning closed-loop supply chain network with capacity planning in order to minimize the costs of the network. The structure of this model consists of existing facilities including manufacturing plants, distribution and reworking centers. Any such structure should change due to fluctuations in demand in order to meet customer demand. Establishing new facilities, closing the existing ones, and adding discrete capacity levels to facilities, are among the decisions which lead to necessary changes in network structure. To make the issue more realistic, it is assumed that demand and returned products are stochastic. To solve the problem, a two-stage stochastic mixed integer linear programming is modelled, followed by writing a robust counterpart of the MILP model program. An accelerated Benders decomposition algorithm is proposed to solve this model. To increase the convergence trend of this proposed algorithm, valid-inequalities and Pareto optimal cut are combined to the model. The expected performance improvement based on applying valid-inequalities and Pareto optimal cut is expressed through numerical results obtained from different samples.

The present study investigated the role of strategic cost management as a moderating variable on the relationship between supply chain practices, Top Management Support (TMS), and financial performance improvement. Financial performance improvement was considered as a dependent variable, while supply chain practices, strategic cost management, and TMS were taken as the main independent variables. Besides, the financial structure and the firm size were considered as control variables. The research sample included 165 companies that were selected using random sampling from among companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. The data were collected using the Senior Management Survey (SMS) to measure supply chain practices, TMS, and strategic cost management. The results of the structural equation modeling after discriminant tests showed that strategic cost management had a positive and significant effect on the relationship between different subscales of supply chain practices and different measures of financial performance improvement. The results also showed that the relationship between strategic cost management, senior management support, supply chain activities and improving financial performance is non-linear and so that Supply Chain Integration (SCI) is more effective at low and medium levels and at higher levels. The above has a lesser or even negative effect.

In this paper, a framework for optimizing the oil condensate supply chain is modeled using mathematical planning to design and make strategic and tactical decisions. According to this framework, investment and operating costs for oil and gas transmission lines can be minimized to meet the pressure requirements and the transmission network. Also, we can minimize the production of pollutants in the chain-related sectors. In the case under study, all possible decisions are considered to consider the environmental aspects of the supply chain. Therefore, the structure and decisions of the supply chain are generally based on two objective functions, including reducing transmission and maintenance costs and pollution in treatment plants and distribution centers. The proposed model is 95% reliable, which is acceptable reliability, and can estimate goals with only 5% error. Using the proposed model will reduce costs by 31% and emissions by 51%. Also, there will be an 8% increase in the capacity of fields and refineries and an increase in exports by 65%. Using the results obtained from solving the model, we can determine the share of each petroleum product in the cost and each part of the chain in the production of greenhouse gases. According to the results, fuel oil has the highest and oils the lowest. In addition, refineries have the greatest impact, and storage tanks have the least impact on environmental pollution.

After the second-hand products return to the second-hand markets, either goods, parts, or materials are reused or disposed. For optimum sales, these products are under the process of determining the optimal warranty period and warranty policy, so that both the seller's profit and the consumer's profit are met. Therefore, estimating the warranty costs for future claims on second-hand products is very necessary. In this paper, a hybrid stochastic model is presented to improve the reliability of second-hand products under the free repair replacement warranty policy to determine the level of upgrade, with the aim of reducing warranty costs. Using the upgrade actions, the model, based on three approaches, minimal-perfect repair, virtual age, and improvement factor, is developed for estimating the warranty costs of second-hand products. The contribution of this research is the application of three upgrade approaches in the warranty cost model simultaneously to estimate the warranty costs and optimum upgrade level more realistic. Finally, under different product lifetime, a numerical example and sensitivity analysis are provided. Evaluation is presented in four lifetimes for second-hand products ranging from one to four years for which the optimum upgrade level and the warranty period are determined. The results show that the higher the level of second-hand product upgrades to a certain extent, the higher the savings, but the more upgrades are not cost-effective for second-hand products.

The main purpose of this paper is to identify the traditional, green and effective resilience criteria in the performance of green and resilient suppliers and their ranking with path analysis, SWARA and TOPSIS combined approach in Fanavaran Petrochemical Company. The research method is applied in terms of goal and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. By a comprehensive review of the literature, first a set of key performance criteria and sub-criteria (traditional, green, and resilience) were extracted. Then, using the path analysis approach, the effectiveness of these criteria was evaluated in Fanavaran Petrochemical Company. The statistical population included 55 experts of the mentioned company, which due to the limited size of the population, all members were considered as the research sample. The path analysis result showed that all identified criteria affect the company’s supplier’s performance. Then, using new SWARA decision-making technique and also the opinions of 30 experts, the criteria and sub-criteria were evaluated and their weight (importance) was extracted. In the final evaluation of the main criteria, the criterion of “resilience” was in the first rank, the criterion of “green” in the second rank and the criterion of “traditional” in the last rank. Subsequently, due to the sensitivity of the ranking of green and resilient suppliers in the company, using the TOPSIS decision-making technique and based on the extractive weight of the criteria, seven suppliers of the company were evaluated by the experts and the final ranking of the suppliers in terms of performance was determined. Thus, the proposed approach of this research provides a valuable conceptual framework for company’ managers to improve the situation of the suppliers in terms of the environmental issues and resilience. Also, the development and improvement of traditional criteria and selection of suppliers of the company based on green standards and resilience were the main goals of this research.

The mathematical model of a multi-product multi-period multi-echelon closed-loop supply chain network design under uncertainty is designed in this paper. The designed network consists of raw material suppliers, plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and customer zones in forward chain and collection centers, repair centers, recovery/decomposition center, and disposal center in the reverse chain. The goal of the model is to determine the quantities of products and raw material transported between the supply chain entities in each period by considering different transportation mode, the number and locations of the potential facilities, the shortage of products in each period, and the inventory of products in warehouses and plants with considering discount and uncertainty parameters. The robust possibilistic optimization approach was used to control the uncertainty parameter. At the end to solve the proposed model, five meta-heuristic algorithms include genetic algorithm, bee colony algorithm, simulated annealing, imperial competitive algorithm, and particle swarm optimization are utilized. Finally, some numerical illustrations are provided to compare the proposed algorithms. The results show the genetic algorithm is an efficient algorithm for solving the designed model in this paper.

Iran is among the ten disaster-prone countries and, in terms of the earthquake, it has been ranked the sixth in the world. Although the damages caused by the disasters are not irreversible from different aspects, they could be minimized by performing appropriate preventions as well as preparing plans to counteract the impacts of such incidents. According to the increasing trend of disasters and crises, which hardly damage businesses and communities, providing relief supply chain for crisis situations (HDRSC) is necessary and vital in the wide field of supply chain management (SCM). Even though considerable attempts have been performed in the field of supply chain focusing on the disaster relief, few studies have addressed its complex features and properties. This paper concentrates on the activities such as demand determination and supply chain coordination by field study and best review of best-related research. This research provides a framework for supply chain managers in crisis, who face similar problems in other environments, with valuable insights.
