Special Issue: Resilience and Sustainable Supply Chain with Mathematical Models Approach (RSSCMMA)

Overview:

The subject of resiliency and sustainability of supply chain is one of the important discussions in researcher and managerial of a supply chain in this hard situation (COVID-19). The subject of resiliency is an important aspect because disruption and fluctuation of demand are forced to SC and many of managerial supply chains do not know what they do. We, as a researcher, should propose a method with mathematical models approach to improve the current situation and smooth crisis. The fluctuation of demand is very high and the demand of customers move to e-commerce and many supply chain that have not e-commerce, lead to failure.  In the face of resiliency, we should pay more attention to the sustainability and greenness of a supply chain in network design or production planning. In supply chain network design, tactical and operational production planning, we should consider environmental impact and energy consumption, and social impact. Carbon emission, Carbon trade, and waste management are effective solutions to decrease environmental impact, and using renewable energy and using clean energy are one of the methods to applied resilience and energy management. In this hard situation, given the pressure on people, we have to keep and maintain human resources that best solution to welfare and suitability of supply chain. Also, applying new technology like Blockchain Technology with running smart contract is needed to model by authors that show advantages of new technology. This Special Issue aims to investigate a supply chain to manage resiliency and sustainability and we need authors that contribute and novelty of mathematical models for the strategy of resiliency and sustainability of supply chain.
