In August 2016, IATF issued the new requirement of quality management system IATF 16949. With these new requirements, the automotive industry that is willing to migrate to the new version will face some challenges. The main challenge comes from the need to re-map the business processes that are needed for the internal audit. The other challenges are the readiness of the quality of the internal auditors, measure gaps, and predict the success of the certification audits. This research is based on a case study at one of the automotive manufacturing company. A framework for measuring the gap analysis of the compliance based on the automotive standards requirements (IATF 16949: 2016) through an internal quality audit score has presented in this research. The analysis has done by using a turtle diagram for risk analysis and follows by a survey on an internal quality auditor’s perception. Based on the analysis, it can be determined which processes need to be audited. The research has found that there are 32 processes in the company which is needed to be an audit. The survey has indicated that internal quality auditor is ready with the new requirement of the quality management system. The internal audit’s result with a weighted score shows the level that can be achieved by the company to fulfill the standard IATF 16949:2016. The gap that has shown in the spider chart depicts that an automotive manufacturing company will be able to passe the certification audit.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is one of the most powerful and useful instrument to evaluate the efficiency of DMU’s. To measure the relative efficiency of multi-sector DMU’s, it is essential to focus on the activities which relate these sectors together. The electrical firms or companies usually include different parts or sectors and focusing on the efficiency of each part enables us to evaluate the efficiency of the complex in a better way. In this paper, using the network DEA based on SBM approach we have measured the efficiency of electrical firms or companies in Iran.

In this paper, an interactive approach for solving multi- objective nonlinear programming (MONLP) problem is introduced. This approach is combined with the Reference Direction (RD) introduced by Narula et al. (1993) and the Attainable Reference Point (ARP) method introduced by Wang et al. (2001). In the interactive approach, we still starting with a weak efficient solution as the first step and use the corresponding objective values to improve the weighting coefficients of the augmented Lexicographic Weighted Tchebycheff problem and hence modify the reference point in the case of an unsatisfactory solution for the decision maker (DM) he (she) wishes. Cooperative continuous static game is introduced as an application and its solution is obtained under the proposed interactive approach. Finally, a numerical example is given to the utility of our proposed method.

This study addresses the application of the lean manufacturing philosophy to the mass production sector with a focus on the plastic piping section of a selected plastic pipe manufacturing industry. In this study, the different weakness and waste of the piping section are measured by using the specific lean tools, such as Cause-effect diagram, Pareto analysis, Time Base Mapping, and 5S. The cause-effect analysis shows the various root causes of the waste time and rejection of the pipes. The Time Base Mapping measures the required time needed from the raw material to finish the product dispatch. The time has reduced approximately 17 hours by eliminating or reducing the non-value added work activities. The 5S analysis is done to focus on the effective workplace organization and standard work procedure. It also simplifies the work environment, reduces all possible waste and non-value added activity while improving quality, efficiency, and safety. In this study, we have found out the various types of waste (value-added activities and non-value added activities) exist in the piping section and the possible causes behind these activities that also have proposed some recommendation for the studied process industry in order to improve the performance of the piping section.

Crude oil is an energy resource that mostly composed with hydrocarbons and trace corrosive compounds as well found some cruxes in the petroleum refining industry because of the vast applications of the different types of metals. There were expected to investigate the effect of two different types of crude oils on the corrosion of seven types of selected ferrous metals in the pertinent research. The concerned corrosive properties of both crude oils were tested by standard methods and instruments also the chemical compositions of selected ferrous metals were tested. The corrosion rates of a series of similar size prepared metal coupons were tested after limited immersion time periods as three trials in crude oils by the weight loss method since aiding the microscopic analysis to identify the corrosion compounds. Apart from those speculations the decayed metallic elemental mounts from the metals into crude oils and the reductions of the initial hardness of metal coupons were tested. The obligatory results showed the relatively higher corrosion rates from carbon steels, relatively lower corrosion rates from stainless steels in both crude oils, formation of FeS in most of observations, decay of ferrous and copper into crude oils from some metals and slight reductions of the initial hardness of metal coupons due to the formation of the corrosion on the metal surfaces.

Several attempts have been made to deal with uncertain input and output data in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). However, due to the limitation of these methods, they cannot be applied for solving DEA with indeterminacy, impreciseness, vagueness, inconsistent and incompleteness information. So this paper for the first time deals with the Neutrosophic Data Envelopment Analysis and present a new model to solve it.

As Grid systems distribute geographically, they become more heterogeneous and dynamic in terms of resources. Discovery service is an important issue in grid systems. Grid efficiently is as regards resource discovery in scalable and dynamic environments. In this paper, we review the peer-to-peer (P2P) based decentralized discovery methods: Unstructured and Super-Peer. We describe major development of these approaches and provide discussion concerning efficiently and scalability features.
